Growing up with a father who was a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist, it was easy for David to see himself following in his footsteps. Starting out working in the fabrication field, David learned to appreciate all the work that goes into providing care for people. After branching out into all aspects of the O&P field, David enjoys the day to day fulfillment that he feels when his patients succeed and overcome obstacles. David says, “I enjoy the challenge, as well as the results.”

Ed Faulkner, CP, LPO

Although he has spent years in the manual fabrication of artificial limbs and braces, today Ed Faulkner is a real fan of CAD/CAM. “Since I’ve started to use CAD/CAM in designing devices, my patients and I have been impressed at how well they fit," said Faulkner. CAD/CAM is also advantageous in updating a device, since the electronic rendering of the patient’s limb is available on file, instantly. “This allows me to really focus on the patient," he said. “Amputees and patients who require major bracing need extra time from the practitioner to set realistic rehabilitation goals and help them deal psychologically with their sense of loss."
