Michael Adams, CP, LP

It was through Michael’s son’s need for orthotic care that he first became interested in orthotics and prosthetics. During his course of treatment, Michael was exposed to the dedicated staff that led him towards a career in the field. “As a volunteer I came to learn and appreciate the many facets of orthopedic care,” Michael says. Now a certified prosthetist himself, he strives to master and apply the latest and most appropriate prosthetic technologies. Michael states, “Providing the highest level of comfort, function and security for my patients has been a strong motivation of mine.”

Bob Franklin, CO, LO

Bob Franklin’s clinical interests are in the fitting of orthoses for patients with spinal problems and for lower-extremity geriatric patients. He is also a specialist in treating trauma patients who have sustained spinal injuries.

Franklin finds that trauma victims are usually more receptive than other orthotic patients to wearing their brace. “Although it fits tightly, the brace gives patients the freedom to move without further injury,” says Franklin. “A properly fitted spinal brace makes patients feel so secure that it can be a challenge to get them to abandon it once they’ve healed.”
