Darlene Miller, CP, LPO

As a pedorthist, Darlene Miller is in a rapidly growing field that focuses on the design, manufacture, fit, and modification of prescription shoes and related foot appliances. “Relieving pain is one of the most important things I can do for a patient with foot problems,” says Miller. She is experienced in working with elderly diabetic patients who have foot ulcers or partial amputations of the foot.
Miller first became aware of orthotics when she brought a nursing home patient to OrPro in 1985 for care. She started work at the facility shortly thereafter, fabricating braces, fitting corsets and other soft goods, and later moving into orthotics, especially post-operative spinal bracing, pedorthics and recently prosthetics.
